If you're staying stock box I'd get a performance box filter, like K&N, and then remove the resonator and run some piping from the bottom of the airbox to the front of your bumper facing frontwards to push air into the box. Would probably go quite nicely.
If you remove the resonator alone it'll sound a bit louder, since that's the purpose of the resonator. Also save a couple of KG's
Don't expect power gain from a whale penis. End of the day its sucking hot air from your engine bay. If you want extra power, get ur self a branded CAI
