    S = F22b (i think) SOHC 2.2 liter non vtec
    si = H23 2.3 liter DOHC non vtec
    Vtir = H22 2.2 liter DOHC VTEC

    that being said many ludes have had h22 swaps performed so rather than check by trim level id be checking the engine model and obviously you'll have your answer

    not to be mistaken with rare jap spec H23 - 200 PS (147 kW; 197 hp) & 163 ft·lb (221 Nm) and comes with a "blue top"

    JDM models such as the Si Vtec come with vtec obviously. Not sure about the years it was made though.

    93 was the last time they used si vtec - i think the si vtec name changed to vtir in aus n japan.

    i also just picked up a si vtec the other day, it was quite different to the normal bb4's it had a digital climate contol, retractable mirrors, el guages etc.

    Wow, some misinformation in this thread.

    This is for the 4th gen prelude:

    JDM Si 91-95 = f22b DOHC 2.2L non vtec
    JDM Si-Vtec 91-96 = H22a 2.2L DOHC Vtec

    AUDM S 92-96 = f22a SOHC 2.2L non vtec
    AUDM Si 92-96 = H23a DOHC 2.3L non vtec
    AUDM Vtir 94-96 = H22a 2.2L DOHC Vtec
