    Mate, this was already done to my intake when I bought the car. Sounds like what you are attempting. Not too sure what the original owner did, but from what he told me, he removed the original box and air resonator, put a pod on and made a custom pipe and heat shield to redirect cold air to the pod.





    I haven't seen a CEL problem, so either it works or he took out the bulb on the dash

    And because I bought it this way I can't tell you what the diff in sound is like.

    Thanks for the pics and info evo. Nice to see a bit of carbon in your engine bay

    Btw, it looks like he's used the stock pipe for the cold air induction (that previously led to the resonator chamber).

    Mine's an FD2 so it will look a bit different to that as the intake manifold is at the front

    correct both share the same stud PCD: 5x114.3

    RPF1 17 x 8 x 45

    stock rubber
    215 x 45 x17 not too stretched, will go 225 next time.

    Lowered on Tein Htech springs

    lol, I should have read properly that you were talking about the FD2.
