I just looked at some photos of the May Highpoint SC Ozhonda meet...did anyone from here go? I saw a black FD2 with what looks like a K20A inside? whos is it?

Also are meets like that "illegal" or are people just scared of cops defecting peoples cars?
If there was a meet and i went to have a look could cops question me? Or only if i start hooning/have defectable mods?

you gotta remember here, you are going to drive a fd, why would cops do anything to a near stock fd? stop worrying so much

Haha no i was unaware of the "law" concerning meets...ive never been to one but when i had a look in that thread seemed like people were worried soon as there was a rumour that cops were coming....Anyway thats probably nice to know.

BTW how knowledgable are cops on cars engines and stuff? Obviously if a cop pulled me over i had a turbocharger in my civic he would be asking questions, but if i had a K20A? Would they realise?

Those meets are not illegal.

If a cop pulled you over and you had a turbo in your Honda he probably couldn't tell.

But you can't generalise cops.

Some have been trained to know the ins-and-outs of the modification scene.

Some are just taught to look for intercoolers, pod filters, blow off valves, height clearance, exhaust decibel readings, etc.

Some look at your Honda and say 'nice Holden'

they are worried about cops cos the mods they have done on their car is illegal and did not want a defect

cops did show up but they did not do anything about it, just sat there and watched, they were nice though

only reason they showed up cos some idiots were being a hero and launching it up at the ramp when they were leaving, so i would have assumed they were they because security called

i dont think there will be meet as this big in melb for a long time, it was kinda a spur of the moment thing in which, one person went, more people came, brought their friends... a domino effect lol
