Exclamation Could the airflow controler be the cause of my problems?

So when i first got my car i toyed around with the apexi airflow vtec controller that the old owner had installed... since then ive reset my ecu by removing the negative terminal of my battery for 30+ minutes then reconnecting and letting the car idle for a good 30 minutes.
Just wanted to know if the ecu reset would also reset the controller and if not how can I? because i think that it may be the cause to my bad fuel efficency...

    most probably has
still getting your crazy half tank to 50km?
can't just unplug the controller and see how it goes? those things usually just intercept the signal

follow the wiring harness back to the car
chances are one or more wires have to be cut and re-router into the controller instead of just being tapped into
trace, reconnect, get rid of controller

Have you tried the Apexi website to look for the manual? I'm sure it has the details on resetting the device?

Dissconnect battery. Unwire/remove the Apexi. Reconnect battery. Car should start. If not, theres a wiring issue.

i read up on how to reset the vafc im not sue if it worked though, i went to the etc. setting and scrolled down to initialise and moved the stick across, it said are you sure no/yes i selected yes by moving the stick across to the right, nothing really happened it just went back to the etc screen with initialise highlighted. i tried again by pressing the stick in instead of moving it across and the same thing happened.
does this mean the reset is complete?
