[CL9] Euro backlit buttons

Hey all

i have an 03 euro LUX and today i was in my mates 05 euro LUX and noticed that the buttons on his steering wheel lit up when the headlights were on, aswell as the heated seat buttons.

just wondering if there was a difference or has a fuse blown or something???

i assume it's an 05 euro lux update model. they do have extra features which you have mentioned.

its not the facelift model tho, still same dash and all.

I thought the lit steering wheel controls was part of the MY06 update, along with the updated trip computer and a couple of extra steering wheel buttons. Perhaps some of the last models before the facelift picked up the lit steering wheel too?

2005 had an upgrade with backlit steering buttons. 2005 also got a full sized spare wheel and the Luxury model had the nice Euro Sport rims.

yup, also your heated seat lights should light up, they're probably just blown!

Is it possible and simple to add the backlit steering wheel buttons onto an 04 model? Is it as simple as a part swap?

I can't imagine that it would straight fit as there would need to be wires ran from the parker light switch to the steering wheel which isn't that far. But could be hard to do.
