I have been very happy with a set of Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres. I 'll be buying the new Dunlop Sport MAXX TT next. I have been using 205/50R17 instead of 225/45R17 (same overall diameter) and totally eliminated tramlining. The width differnce is hardly noticeable.

I might go back to the stock 16 inch rims because I feel a new car approaching sometime within the life of a set of tyres. But I might go for the 225/50R16 size instead of the stock 205/55R16 (same overall diameter). I would expect the return of tramlining though.
