if your gunna get the b16a my advice would be to wait and save a little longer and buy the b18c7 there is a big difference and its worth the extra money i have a b16a in my civic and although its fun you get over the power very quickly and you will end up spending so much money on mods you could have gotten the b18c7 and as meatball's sig says Do it once, Do it right!!!!
as he said, if you want power and got money got b18c7 or cr no use getting a b16 and putting heaps of money into it!! and use search tool these heaps of topics out like this
the problem with the b20v is that its very unrelyable, i was thinking about doing it untill i spoke to DrHonda who told me quite basically its a matter of when the engine goes not if, the block and head of the b20v dont match up exactly and this causes alot of problems, he told me to have a relyable b20v you would need to get a b18 bottom and bore it to a 2L, then it would be classified as relyable because the heads match up exactly
Interesting, have never heard this. I was under the impression that they line up fine on the ground that they're B-series engines and share a basic design.
OR if you want more power then the b16a and dont want to spend THAT much for a b18c7/b18cr then. go b18c2, cheaper and its kinda between the b16a and b18cr/7
yea or that if i remember correctly a guy on here done a build thread on his eg b18c2 and got some impressive numbers on the dyno something like 117-120 kw atw i think his name was Infernos or something like that
lol i think he just cbf building an engine for you, he mainly deals with K series, so he probly just told you to upgrade k series
this was before he only did k series and he was in the process of building my m8s one and he was telling me why he didnt feel confident with the engines
