not really, just cos u have semis isnt gonna make u any better.

its better to go out with what u have then once u cant get any more out of ur street tyres then move up

I never said that semi's would make you better. I said that they'll give you feedback on how your car performs, and you'll know what its lacking.

Hey what do you guys recommend for engine oil? Im using it for a FN2R with approx 34,000kms

    Motul 4100 Turbo Light SAE 10w - 40 or
    Motul 8100 X-cess SAE 5w - 40 ?

I've been using castrol edge 5W30, but i hear that it doesn't offer very good protection...

is there much difference between 5w40 and 10w40?

  8. #20
i think its the same thickness of oil when the oil hits 100 degrees but when cold the 5w is thinner.
you should really be concerned about the second number when it comes to track.
atm in using motul turbolight 4100 10w40 which is a semi synthetic oil

thanks mate, i just placed an order for the x-cess 5W40, as my car is often very cold in the morning, with temps just under 10 degrees celcius.

Btw is racechrono accurate? I believe you need to run it on a nokia phone...im using an iphone lol

pretty sure that the suspension will give you more feed back on whats lacking with the car, than semis.
