Somebody pulled out in front of me from a parallel park in a residential street.
Somehow I lost the insurance case because the only person who saw the accident was somebody I met the day prior to the accident at work (not 'independent' anymore) and apparently you can pull into a parallel park and still have right of way on the main thoroughfare section of the road because you haven't become 100% stationary.

New bumper, new guard, new indicator, scratched rim etc. 'Equal fault'. Bloody AAMI.

grrr.... don't get me started on AAMI...

I had a ding last year - yes I admit it was my fault - I was changing lanes while coming up to a red light (didn't have indicator on) and a BMW X5 accelerated right up belong side me (I heard him revving it) and as I moved over his back wheel basically nudged my front mudguard. No serious damage - 2 slight dents on guard, a scratched hub cap (had stock steelies back then lol) and a knick on my mirror smaller than my thumbnail; which I saw her wiping off my white paint off her car with her hand and would have come off with cut/polish easily. This was my damage below and would you believe they claimed for $3,000 damage! He ordered new aluminium side steps and everything and all approved by yep... AAMI. Enough said.

nah cost is a factor and considering i can get a decent Bora under 100 thou with leather sunroof and all the other nice things as apposed to one of those passats that 9/10 have just haven't been looked after

VW are the kinda car you ahve to serivce and maintain 100% no ifs or buts and since i work for VW/Peugeot/Skoda i think its time i ventured into the euro scene - although i really like the look of a accord euro coupe heheh (maybe 2-3 yrs time i'll get that)
