the series 1 EK (96-98) civic sedan and hatchback had the moulding in the front and rear bumpers, the coupe didn't. Series two civics (98 on) didn't have the moulding on any model.

The front bumpers are the same across the range, ie. a coupe front bumper will fit the sedan and the hatch. The rear bumpers differed however.

I think the coupe and the hatch rear bumpers are interchangeable, but I'm not sure. The sedan rear bumper will not fit either the coupe or the hatch as the sides are longer.

I learned this as I want to get rid of the mouldings as well. What I'm doing is fitting the coupe front bumper, and the series 2 rear bumper along with the honda front and rear bar extensions to my EK1 sedan.

Call around some wreckers - I know there is a honda wreckers on the Gold Coast - called Hondarec, not sure if they are interstate as well...
