    What is our Accelerator Pedal Kickdown Click System Learn Procedure?

    I am just about to install the OEM foglights for my car and it said I should do the "Accelerator Pedal Kickdown Click System Learn Procedure" described in the shop manual. after the installation..?

    so...... what is it???

    Can you post up the instructions?

    Sounds like it has to do with the ECU learning the accelerator pedal position for AT kickdown. I don't really see any reason for this unless you've mucked around with your accelerator pedal or reset your ECU (even then?)

    OK... I spoke to 3 honda's service advisors, 2 of them said "NO" the car dont need to be relearn, just plug the battery and drive....
    but 1 of them said the car needs to be relearn before drive and it can only be done by honda....
    so who should I trust???

    Thanks for the info guys,just a question tho,Lets put the stupid manual aside...is it really nessasary to do all these procedures for installing foglights becasue I disconnected the battery...?

    I wouldn't think so, or else everyone would need to do it every time they changed the battery. Just a thought, next time your in for a service suggest that you think the kick down is not behaving correctly and if they could check it out for you.
