    car wont start.

    hey guys,

earlier today, i turned my car on, while i was tuning my sound system, and then all of a sudden my car turned off.. so i try turning it back on, and the car was clicking over but didnt want to start.
    What do i do ?
I just put in a dizzy but it still wont turn on. will need to check if it is sparking in the morning.

you turn the key and the motor cranks but doesnt fire ?

you turn the key and the starter just ticks ?

you turn the key and it cranks but when you release the key you donthave any dash light ?

there are many ways a car can fail, the more info you provide the better chance you will get for an acurate answer

im with ecu man, it could be anything why would you smack the starter straight away?
what if it was a faulty altenator not charging the battery?
what if its the altenator belt?
what if it's got a ****ed battery?

got to take all tehse things into consideration before smacking the starter

use a metal pole. or like the tyre changing poles in your boot. just knock it with it while you get someone else to try to crank it

The motor cranks but doesnt want to start, its not sparking... ive tried jumping it already. I pulled out one of the leads and put it agaist the rocket cover and its not sparking..

Surely he wouldn't need to be asking questions on here if it was as simple as running out of fuel haha.

If your going to try the above i suggest running a wire connecting to your jumpleads that are connected to your battery (positive i think) and you shock the starter to fire it up. i saw my dad do this on a accord 2 days ago lol. if this breaks your car u did not hear from me ;D

the your problem is your coil or ICM

hitting modern day staters isnt always a good idea, some have permanent magnets in them and hitting them hard smashes the magnets.
