    windscreen replacement

Where's the best place for me to get windscreen replaced? Or is it worth getting one from wreckers and getting a panel beater to put in on?

Anyone need to replace one before?

BTW its for a 1990 toyota commuter
    Im in Sydney .

Went to windscreen obrien a while back, they seem alright. Im sure if you wanna bring the windscreen in yourself from a wrecker they wont mind. I'd recommend getting them to do the work though to ensure that its all sealed up properly and everything too as this will prevent leaking and rust. The other major consideration is the seal itself which will most likely need replacing. These can be very costly too.
...... and that's all I have to say about that.

obrien are way to expensive, ring around you should be able to get a new one + installation for around $170-200

obrien probably wont do it, because they can't guarantee the second hand windscreen...

if you got windscreen/glass insurance do it off that.

but replacement windscreens will never fit the same as oem ones

serz.. obrien only quoted my mate $280 for a new windscreen for a toyota van.

i think if they dont have regular stock of the windscreen, they charge more.

im not complaining. as long as it doesnt leak water i dont really care, but all the gaps with seals and windscreen wiper housing parts are always better with oem.
