I have been looking at the 595 RSR's, RT615's and Ku36's for my new set (wanting to run wider size). The price difference is very little between them for my new size, 235/40/18. I have been running RT615's for just over 5000km's. They are great in the dry though when wet I don't trust them 100%. They are very loud on the freeway at/over 100km/h. Very predictable. Wear is also great. Anyone has tried both if not all of KU36, RT615 and federal 595 RSR? Not sure if I should stick with RT615 or try out KU36 or 595 RSR.
did some research.. and what a load of horse shit. my car says 30psi when clearly the 215/40's need 40. feels like im driving a new car!
on what sized rim? i run 34 in 215/40 on 17x7 and 8

A true car enthusiast appreciates the time, effort and money put into ANY sort of car, modified in ANY sort of style, whether they may like it or not.
I just got some 205/46/16 Toyo T1Rs. I looked at both KU36s ($131 fit and balance) and 595 EVO (don't remember the price.) They were cheaper than the Toyos, I read many reviews and everyone seems to rate them higher than both the Korean KU36s and Taiwanese 595s. In the end I paid $175 a corner for the Toyos. I was looking for mainly a street tyre and nothing else seemed to compare with regards to the price and quality. I would have loved RE001s but they were just too much.
I've driven 250 km so far and while I'm still breaking them in they feel nice and grippy, they are comfortable on B-roads and are much much quieter than my previous Kumhos.
My advice is to get as many quotes as you can on tyres (10+) as prices vary greatly between dealers.

Need to replace OEM tyre's on Accord Euro 2007 model. currently have Dunlop 205/55R16.
I know nothing about tyre's. Based in South Sydney.
Please recommend Tyre and place to purchase from?

Depends on what you want out of the tyre, performance/comfort etc. and also your budget.
unfortunately 205/55/16 is considered "Performance" so dont expect it to be cheap. expect $130-200 per corner depending on the brand.

They are no better than Bob Jane Xeon Z7's and Xeon Z7's cost $20-30 less per type.
it's decent comfort tyre, don't expect to grip as well as the Dunlop SP's they use as OEM (my 1st gen Euro uses Dunlop SP sport OEM)
I heard good things about Falken FK 452 but dunno the price tho.
Had a puncture today... and with only a few thousand left in the tread, it's time to start considering new tyres.
First up, I don't care for road noise, I have hearing loss and don't wear my aids in the car generally. But I do want good wet/dry performance and tyre longevity. My car is standard and I drive it in a "spirited" fashion. Mostly a mix of around town, and small highway bursts. Car is Accord '95 CD5 VTi, tyre size is 195/60/15. Car currently has Hankook rubber and I've been quite impressed, they came with the car when I bought it, but they seem to be pretty soft and haven't lasted very long.
So I have some quotes and am interested in your thoughts (and any other recommendations).
Bridgestone Turanza AR10 seems to be my favourite so far, tread pattern looks nice in the pics. Am quoted $150 per tyre inc. fit/balance and dispose old tyres.
Maxxis MAPI $130 per tyre
Khumo KH15 $128 per tyre
Starfire RSC $110 per tyre
Falken ZE912 $147 per tyre
Anyone have some helpful comments or other recommendations, I would appreciate it. Also what's the verdict on Nitrogen, during my quote hunt today some shops told me it was a marketing gimmick and they don't sell it (but gave no clear explanation why) and other shops gave clear explanations on what scientific properties it has and therefore what benefits it has...
