Unhappy Clicking sound in front brake assembly after installing performance pads and rotors

    Hey guys,

I have searched all over the net for the answer to my new brake sound and my mechanic doesnt have a clue so im hoping someone has experienced my problem and knows what im talking about.

I purchsed DBA 6x6 wiper slotted 4000 rotors and hawk performance ceramic pads for the front of my euro and had a mechanic next to my work install them.

Both sides now make a clicking kind of sound (difficult to describe but mostly like holding a leaf against a slow rotating fan blade) but the left is much louder than the right and is too loud to be considered acceptable.

The mechanic then put the old brakes on to determine if it was actually the new parts and turns out it was. He agrees its not a common sound thats to be expected and believes they could be faulty.

I on the other hand am inclined to think its either vibration from the pad against the caliper or the pads are too rough for the rotors therefore not compatible.

Ill be taking it to a specialist within the next couple of weeks to identify the problem but thats just more money i cant afford to part with at the moment.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?
