2009 or 2008 euro [CU2]

Hi Everyone,

I'm fairly new to the forum, hope to get some info from experts across the forum .

Recently I've bought myself a HONDA authorized dealer used RED CU2 extras with b-tooth , spoiler and tinted glass , paid 29500(hopefully it is reasonable) for it !

Well , it was advertised as a 2009 car and when i look closely , it was built in year 2008 in sept , compliance date is 4/2009 , so the question is , when i purchase insurance , should i put in 2008 or 2009?

Any info will be appreciated

2009. They go off compliance date. Compliance date legally determines year model.
Don't worry, '08 and 09 exactly the same......

hmm, when i'm filling in the insurance details they specially asked "what year your car was manufactured" so i thought it is the built date.

thanks for your input, just need to verify this because it might be a problem if i put the wrong year, insurance company is very particular about these stuffs

thanks ! I had a crappy car(mazda 323) , have been saving up for a real good one , hope my CU2 will not let me down.

it is an auto, i was considering kizashi , mazda 6 and liberty, but it all come down to interior , look and resale value, i find that CU2 has the best looking amongst all, inside and out

so far so good, it hasn't let me down yet, been driving it like a baby will definitely push it a bit during the week end

I agree,the Euro is the best looking,inside and out.
I also looked at those cars,as well as a few others.

I owned a Jetta before,which STILL offers a few advantages over the Euro,but then the Eiro also offers a few plusses over the Jetta.

IMHO,they are the best of the bunch.

With an all new Jetta coming next year,the competition may be heated up again.

Euro seems to be under a bit of preassure ATM in the market place.

Thats well true, i dont think many people would buy the Euro, may be the price point? May be the slow sale was the reason we were able to get the New Euro for the bargain price? I can see more normal Accord on the road than Accord Euro, may be the price or roomy interier in normal Accord

The Accord Euro has been a massive hit for Honda,as the 1st generation sold 45000 units,and the 2nd generation has sold 15000 units,which is 60000 in 7 years.

The Euro has a lot of competition in the segment.

You will find this interseting.It is sales of all the MEDIUM SIZED,NON PRESTIGE cars in Australia,September 2010...

The smaller Euro has ALWAYS outsold the bigger,daggy normal Accord.
Last month,Honda sold 222 Accords.

Last month was a bad month for Honda,as they fell from their normal 8th position,to 10th...beaten by both Volkswagen and Subaru.

Well Camry is 2172 mainly due to lot of fleet sales.....Does Fleet also buy Mazda 6 as well? Should be a reason why the sales figures are much higher than Euro..

Fleets dont buy Mazda 6,BUT they have a hatch,sedan,and wagon in petrol and diesel.

Euro only has the petrol sedan.

I beleive that in petrol sedans,the Euro outsells the 6 comfortably...
