What he said. It could be a torn CV boot or a driveshaft boot in which the grease can come out. Take wheel off and check your rubber boots.

yep it's the cv boot. My old car had it and it went everywhere even on the gearbox.

I changed my mates boot a while back, it's high temp bearing grease it smells like shiet. get it changed before you get stone in the boot and fking up the bearings.
Bursons have it in a kit 1 boot and a packet of that ht bearing grease and some zip-ties but forgot the price.

hey guys, thanks for the input, so should i just take it to the mechanics and let them deal with it? it only seems to be on the right side, would you guys be able to give me a rough estimate of the cost to fix this? just so i'm prepared thats all. i did a quick search online, and i dont seem to have started hearing "clicking" when im turning yet, but i'll take it to the mechs tomorrow

Probably $100-150 depending on whether or not you get screwed. I think I might have paid $130 a couple of years ago from my much trusted mechanic but I really don't remember. Get it fixed ASAP so that you don't get dirt/water/stones in there.

yes as others have said - high temp grease from the CV joint. Torn boot and the grease leaves there quickly with inertia from the spinning wheel. Get the boot replaced ASAP
