    not exactly what the thread is asking, but I've seen B16A1 heads (no manifolds) go for $100 on NZ forums..

    $100 B16A head plus your old B18A block and manifolds = LS-VTEC... plus obviously work involved and other things like VTEC solenoid, DIZZY, VTEC ECU and labour etc...

    It's the top half of your engine. The half that houses your inlet and exhaust manifolds, your camshafts, valves ect.
    The bottom half houses your pistons and crank ect.

    $100 are just the block without all the bolts and stuff right? It's a real empty head

    hey what part of the engine has the most power??
    if i put a B16A2 head on my D16Y8 will i get a power increase or if i was to put the bottom of a B16A2 on the D16Y8 will i get a better power increase or will i get no power increase just a different looking motoe??

    You can't inerchange B and D series head/block they are incompatible.
