If you want to save $$$ without having the ugly wheel Gap that comes with stock Euros. Just get some new springs to slightly lower your ride height and use the existing shockies.
Cheers for all your comments, much appreciated! whiteeuro07 - looking at just doin springs as you've suggested, wondering about how much this will effect the life of my stock shocks? Will they handle the smaller springs?

They will handle it no worries with a suttle drop! If u want to slamm it they will fail quickly due to the shock bottoming out ( coz u will have to remove bump stop to drop more then 25mm) and it will ride terrible!!!
I got a quote today for TEIN lowered springs installed with a "performance wheel allignment" and any bushes needed for $875. What do you reckon? $740 for the same with King Springs.
save your money on the springs, just go the coilovers straight up.
i had 1.5" king spring drop on the oe shocks for a year with the stock lux 17's - looked clean but wasnt enough for me after a while.
ride/comfort did not change much with that setup.
I think it was $600 all up there
