DIY: Adjusting Ignition Timing

just a quick question when looking directley at the dizzy did u turn it clockwise or counter clockwise? if you can remember, or can you simplify retarted to advanced, ie counter clockwise retarded and clockwise advanced or vise versa.

advance timing you will hear the car rev higher.

retard timing and you will hear the revs drop and sound like its not as eager to run as advance.
