EF CRX B16A uses a V band belt for power steering.
You'll need to change to late model power steering pulley or don't bother.

i've got the EG6 SIR B16a2 is that any different cuz my car's at the workshop right now can't see it...lol
supposing is the reason to change the power steering pulley is to balance out with the crank pulley or is it a compatibility thing?
And is the GFB pulley exactly same spec size as the original? Thanks!!!

You should be fine with the EG SiR engine.
This uses the ribbed belt (4PKxxx)

The power steering pump pulley change would only be a compatability thing.
Btw, GFB used to make this pulley too, probably still do...

The GFB crank pulley is a little smaller than OEM,
The Alternator & power steering pulleys are a little larger in diameter than stock.
This offers a change in drive ratio together with a drop in mass.

FWIW, we use Fluidamper or ATI Dampers on high output engines.
Both of these weigh more than the standard balancer.

USeless bling item. Keep it stock and your motor will thank you. As above B16a early power steeering runs V band and later model ribs.

This is quite an interesting and helpful post. It was about last week while my friend was doing a maintenance, he had several plans and mods that he wanted and one of them is also having the GFB pully but we're both quite not familiar with it so we search for it and ended up on this post. It seems it has a compatibility thing that my friend needs to know. Anyway, thanks for the reliable info. My friend would learn a thing or two from this post.
