If you’ve been following our Facebook or Twitter feeds, you’d by now know we’re currently in Japan for the Tsukuba Circuit Superlap Battle. It also marks the start of the World Time Attack 2011 campaign.
As most of the Pro-Class teams did not come out for practice, it gave us an opportunity to take a look at what Japans tuning scene had to offer. Naturally the first thing we noticed were the tyres. We were amazed at how many competitors were using the ADVAN Neova as their choice. There were no official lap times that were counted toward tomorrow’s competition; however there were murmurings that a time was recorded in the 56 second mark – that’s incredibly impressive.
Additionally we noticed a huge influx of street legal cars in tomorrow’s battle. We have posted some more shots in our gallery, but this was probably one of our favourites. We certainly hope some incredible machines like this make it over to Australia.
