BOV like sound from side of car

i was test driving an integra and when i floored it, right when the car shifted (automatic), i heard a loud air sound much like a blow off valve. the owner said it was from the A/C so it may be it, but i dont know the exact problem with it. i dont want to buy a car and spend another couple hundred just for the A/C. thanks for the help

its a 96 integra RS, automatic. when i test drove it, the A/C was ON witch makes me assume it is the A/C.
