    Steering rack boots

I picked up a steering rack the other day as a "spare" for our ED Civic. It was in pretty good nick except for one boot which was ripped. Any idea (apart from Honda) where I could buy a set (in Adelaide) from ?

Easy (?) will ask for a price from these guys. Owning a Honda for so many years I have experienced that there are only so many parts you can buy apart from the big $$$ OEM Honda originals.

If that's the case re price wise for originals, I will. I had the luck so to speak to find a 1990 Civic wreck (was hit in back big time) and as it has only done 170 k's I thought it would be an excellent donor car for ours so I have been busy taking those items that will come in handy to repair ours. We have a wrecking yard here in Adelaide that you take the bits off yourself at excellent prices. So far I bought the steering rack for $95, the dizzy which was in excellent condition ie no typical oil leak they all seem to have, for $50 and all the door trims at $14 each a passenger seat for $50 and the bottom part of the rear seat for $25 and last weekend I couldn't help myself and pulled its motor out to get the auto tranny for $120. Looks like ours wil be going for a few more years longer !
