    Someone buy this

I came across this S2K in carsales. Though I am after a lude, I am somewhat tempted to go check out this S2K. Are those seat colours standard trim ?

Its not that bad on the km front, Id be more concerned with service history tbh.

The engines are pretty resilient if serviced correctly.

yeah, what about wear and tear on other stuff, gearbox synchros, drivetrain, clutches, shocks, CV joints.... people keep thinking KMs = engine...

I'd rather have a 6yr old car with 100Km than an 11yr old car with 60KM's.

Especially being the 6yr old car is an AP2.

I'd buy that car and keep it as a weekender. Sell it on 2-3yrs time and only lose $3K in re-sale. By then most other 04 models will be 100-120Km old and fetching about $30K.

trust me i have no worries at all about how good the f20 is, but purely from a km's perspective its not out of this world cheap. yes we all know the car will easily do another 100,000 km's if looked after, but for people how dont not squat on honda's they might not think its all that cheap due to ill say it again, km's lol

engine = KMs = condition of wear/tear of other stuff, gearbox synchros, drivetrain, clutches, shocks, CV joints.... etc.. It all follows with the price.

If you drive it, and like it and happy with the price, buy it!

Ive taken it for a drive... Reasons for price: hasnt has the 120k service.... From my knowledge thats the major service?
    Whats that worth?

Cars tight, but its got a couple issues. 13month blank period in its logs, and the front n rear bumpers dont sit aswell as they should given the age. Any major reasons why ppl would remove them?

Also front bumper has slight cracks appearing in paint at inside corner of headlights.

Still, in a few days im going to try getting it to honda, and my mechanic for some checks...

One other thing you guys might understand; i only looked at the front right tyre, but if you notice the tread, theres 1cm wide strips wrapping around the tyre as normal, however, that main line was wavey all the way through. Unless its an ex smash, im not sure what would cause this?

Hey dude, check the screws sitting under the dash and see if there are signs of it being removed. Might have had a cluster swap. I don't know if Honda can really check for minor accidents. You can employ places like Stateroads etc to do accident checks on panels. Apparently they use devices to measure paint thickness across the car.

    Not sure about the tyre.

So with the service history, he had books up to 13 months ago ?

Good luck with the S2K. Just make sure you do a proper check on the vehicle before purchasing. You don't want to go through what I did when I purchased my S2K which I then returned to the Honda dealer for odometer tampering.
