u mean u r going to import them from jap or it's imported already?
as far as i know it's pretty impossible to import a EK4/9 unless u owned it overseas for more than 2yrs
plus u need to give proof of "daily driven ownership" (like petrol receipt, maintenance and shits)
in that case u might be able to import them as a personal import
after that u still need to do RWC check and shit loads of procedure b4 u can drive it on the road
imo not worth the trouble even if u hv been owning it overseas

i know jap spec B16A has a theoretical better high ends
but then only a dyno machine can tell the difference lol

only one on car sales at the moment
car looks like rubbish but the engine looks nice
the only thing i could think of is maybe a few slight differences with the interior
and power folding mirrors - everything else will be the same

their engines have a slightly better tune to account for better quality fuel - but i dont think it will really make a difference with this

Proof of ownership is one yr, than u can import as personal import, though importin an ek4? Why not ek9?id imagine a ek4 goin for around 600,000yen at , which is very cheap, only major differance is that they have is climate control, an higher spec b16a motor, but if u do get a jdm ek4, piks plz lol

The One TheSaint linked is the one i am looking at. In terms of the car looking rubbish it isnt to bad actually, depends on personal preferance. Id defs changes the Wheeles to a smaller Size as it has kings and i i dont wanna have scraping problems with low roads, driveways etc. The Cannon also looks like shit, change that aswell. The Interior is nice and engine bay clean, Stripes aint to bad aswell.

I will obviously get the Car checked out by my Mates Mechanic who deals, restores Honda engines etc, what is it worth in peoples opinions?

And no Mugen, i want a car ASAP, dont wanna wait for imports, etc

yes the jap ones are called SiR - but thats an ebay badge
also thats not a canon - its an oval barrel muffler
needs a Ek9 style grill, smaller more performance orientated alloys, remove the stripes and add some nice shocks
i would double check the history of the engine as well - it has a red rocker cover and apparently it has type-r cams
so who did the mods and was it tuned to accomodate it?
need to ask a few questions here man....

@Vvvtec, yeah ive been for drives in Many B16's in my 17 year life, I love them, just cant wait to drive one.

@ TheSaint, those are the things my Mechanic will check out when he inspects it, so pretty much ask the guy who did the work, and if he has any receipts?

What about this EK GLI with a F20B?

you would want to make sure the brakes and suspension are uprated to handle the engine conversion
parts will be harder to find for this engine
it will also need EK9 grill and a wheel change, get rid of the stickers etc
also find out where the engine came from and if its a genuine F20b not a head-swap or the down tuned variant

all the usual things u need to look out for when purchasing an engine swapped car
