What do you like/dislike about your Civic Coupe?

Similar to the Integra thread. I've owned EJ8 and now EM1 so here's a start:

    Dislike

    1. Unsupportive seat bolsters
    2. squeaky clutch
    3. Crappy power windows (relulators shit themselves, windows come off channels)
    4. Not 1.8L like teg. Low down power is non existent.

    Like
    1. Uncommon/stylish shape
    2. cupholders
    3. ABS
    4. 'maintainance required' indictator (a gimmick, really)
    5. B16a/ 4wheel discs/rear sway bar/ strut brace/upgraded springs/armrest/colour coded skirts and side-mouldings/EK9 grille & front lip (em1 only)
    6. Front sway bar
    7. No gay-looking side moldings on bumpers.

I like that scene in fast and the furious when the 3 black civic coupes with green neons rob that truck.

    LOL, nice post.

Dunno if anyone likes The Shield- an electron blue EM1 makes a few appearances in it. It's got a huge wing on it.

does that 4. 'maintainance required' indictator (a gimmick, really) really work. what does it detect (low oil??) and only a guess does it go red when it needs a service

It's kinda like a trip meter. You press the reset button and it turns green, and after 10,00km it turns yello. After another 5,000 kms (15,000kms), it turns red, meaning that "you better change your oil buddy".

    It's for neglectful owners lol.

Sure. But that can be a positive as the B16a is sluggish if you have rear passengers.

I am married but without a child (missus is my avatar), so 2 door isn't an issue for me. It is for parents tho'.

    EK9 5stud convo with EK9 rims

I agree with everything the OP has said so far with the additional:

    dislike EJ8
    1. manual aerial (even though no-one listens to commercial radio anymore )
    2. drum rear brakes
    3. so ****ing slow with the A/C on and anymore then 2 people in the car. actually its slow full stop

    like EJ8
    1. so easy to work on (heaps room in the bay) everything comes apart and back together so easy
    2. might be wek Sos version, but still has VTEC unlike base model CXI/GLI Ek's
    3. Light chassis, handles like a go-kart with simple mods
    4. easy on fuel
    5. short clutch travel and throw on the shifter
    6. classic shape, looks mad good even now.

    even so, i'm selling mine
