On board diagnostics port on AUDM AP1

Hi all,

Does anyone know if AUDM AP1s have any on board diagnostics port ?

There is a port, it's called the DLC (Data Link Connector) - But most aftermarket OBD readers etc, don't work well with it. Not for me anyway.

Best way to check for errors, short the SCS (Service Connector) and flick your key to the ON position, anything that BLINKS represent a code in which you can trace logged errors/malfunctions.

For example, If I had a random missfire in cylinder 3 and noticed the CEL on whilst driving, I'll switch it OFF then ON again and it won't be there anymore - however this is logged. So using the SCS method, you can see that the CEL will blink in units of <1s each blink (7 blinks *pause* 3 blinks). Or, If I had a short circuit in my torque sensor my EPS light will flash 1 long blink, and 4 short blinks.

I would show you how to do this, but it'll probably be easier if you googled/s2ki'd it directly as I'm at work...

The reason I'm asking is I was thinking of getting a Greddy Infometer Touch (http://greddy.com/featured/4) for my MY00 S2K but wasn't sure if it's compatible to my car.

If it uses OBD2 technology, then it won't be suitable for the S2000 (AUS delivered model anyway) We have the traditional 3P DLC compared to other models (USDM, JDM) with the 14P OBD2 interface. But If you really wanted that to work on the S2000, I'm sure a sparky with a ECU pinout diagram would be able to help you.
