the ECU in regards to the MAP is the same however the ECU itself has some differencs

a Auto ECU can be converted to Manual easily. manual ECU is harder and more costly to convert to auto

    i juss started running P28 map on my D15b7 / A6 Cam

it bogs a bit and needs fine tuning in low revs - but at about 4500-7000 it has heeps of grunt

its a bit hard to keep it running at low revs on my normal settings - gona have to keep stuffing around with it

just get a chipped ECU - than you can get whatever map you want on it

also you might wanna make a build thread in here and ask all your questions there - you would get more replies and ideas having all your questions in the one place

thanks for the advice. have not used forums before i got honda so i am learning slowly. i am a ford man
at the moment i am waiting on gaskets to arrive. i went all oem.
i am picking up vti exhaust manifold tomorrow.
cleaning up engine bay on the weekend, may even repaint.
    then clean engine up.
then i think i will worry about the ecu.

once u get it running get N*Force 4-2-1 stainless header from ebay - $160 posted - good value for money and a nice torque boost

iv worked on a few FG XR6 and XR6-Turbo recently - they are nice cars
built a custom CAI for one not long ago

check out my build here if u havnt already....
