Mine is MY11,Automatic,Buran Silver, floor mats and 2 Silver keyrings, but NO tint.

Paid $34500,with 5 year warranty and roadside assist.

I offered them $34000,but they would not accept that,I drove home, and realised what a brilliant deal it was,so went straight back, and did the deal.

I have since added reverse sensors, and have NOT regretted my purchase at all.
Dunno about melbourne, but you can get to $34k if you are in sydney. Just shop around,
Hardly any dealer will turn it down if you walk to them with the checkbook realy for deposit if they agree the price.

Beisdes sometimes dealer will sell cars for under the dealer price to drive up their volume so they can qualify for kickbacks from the manufacturer.
    - car dealers are a bit like Apply resellers really, they get a RRP with a fixed margin then they get a volume based kickback.

My car is 9 months old,but in this period,Honda sales figures have fallen, and their peicing has become more aggressive.

$34000 seems to be the best price now foe Accoed Euro auro with metallic.
Identical price to advertised special on Mazda 6 sedan equivelant.

I know which one I would rather have though...lol.

    HONDA ANYDAY.

i bought my 2011 euro luxury with 20% tint, 5yr warranty(it turned out that last 2 years are dealer warranty), 3 yr road assistance at $42800. It seems to be cheaper now.

Honda has been slow to react to the following:
    1. rising Aussie dollar
    2. Rise of the euros

Now they have to react. Since they don't have the product lineup to counter the euros right now. They have to play the price war.

Honda got attitude buy it or not.. They don't seems reduce much for the Euro as they always says they get limited stock from japan and its a demand..

However if you buy a thai built big accord seems like can get a good bargain. someone in this forum mentioned he got VTI accord brand new for 27k driveaway...

I just bought a 2nd hand Silver Euro Luxury Auto 2009 model with Modulo sports trim kit (sides, front and back bumper, front grille, duckbill spoiler) and internal Elegance kit (sports steering wheel, sports pedals, metal trim, etc) with half a year rego and 22,000km on the clock. Showroom condition. It had $38990 on the windscreen which was designed to be "squeezed" to $37000. After another two hours of me not giving them a decision, they eventually gave me $4000 more for my trade than it was actually worth, in order to finally close the deal. I still have to pay $1100 in rego transfer, so I guess it cost me about 34K on the road, which I would class as excellent value, but maybe the 2nd-hand deals are there to be had at the moment. I pick up the car tomorrow.

Were tinted windows standard on the 2009 Euro Luxury or was that an extra that was added to mine?

    Regards, Warren in Sydney.

Warren,I think you have done well on a fantastic car.

All the windows are very slightly tinted, with the top of the windscreen Dark blue.

As Raja says, all Euros worldwide are made in 1 plant in Japan, which runs at full capacity, besides those made in China for thar market only.

So I suppose Honda might be a bit arrogant...

I guess that means that they have added tint since these were tinted to about 15%, which is how I like them.

Well we all keep buying Honda whether they got an attitude or not rite? May be the honda dealers will know we will back to them and buy it regardless of their attitude.. Did you tell you guys, when i was shopping for my car last year end of March, i asked for 34k with genuine rear sensors, matt and 5yr warranty.. The salesguy got an attitude and asked me, "i will give you 34k, can you give me the car for 34k". I just walked away....

As far as I know all the Cu2's except the Acura tax (which is Canadian)
Is made in Sayma, Japan (the Chinese plant is assembly only as far as I know)... But it's not a big seller in Europe...

Rest of the Honda range are all Thai as far as I know, only a matter of time before we get Thai made euros......

Here's are some interesting, unrelated facts:
*most hondas forsale in Australia is made in thailand, not japan.
    * Nissan Xtrail is made in Korea along side the Renault Koleos.
    * Most Volvos you buy are Belgian made, next to the ford factory
    * Previous generation vw polo sedan was made in shanghai, china.
    * BMW x5 is made in america
    * Petrol engine in a Mini is french PSA engine (Aka Citeron/Peugeot)
    * VW new beetle is mexican
    * Pakistan makes Honda accords

Doubt the Accord Euro is in such big demand... Its just what the salesmen would like you to think of course. The current shape is already 3 yrs on the road

If you dont mind a 2010 build MY11-compliant model (brand new).. the manual goes as low as $32,888 driveaway, and automatic $33,690 driveaway as advertised here
