'94 EH9 D16Y1. My fuel light started coming on the other day (when you're going uphill etc, then off again) and I filled up 40L of a 45L tank. So it looks like my fuel light comes on when I have about 5L left.

I managed 533.5km from that 40L, which is awesome for me, but this was mostly because I had to do a 300km round-trip out to the country town where I went skydiving, and on the way home I managed to sit in the slipstream of a Ford Territory for about 100km

Normally get about 450km before the light comes on

hey i own an 05 accord euro and if i drive sensibly with the pod filter off i will hit atleast 480 before my light comes on. also what fuel do you use? 98 or normal unleaded. i have a mate same car same mods he uses 91 and only gets 380-400 before his light flicks on. either your fuel filter is on the way, your using cheap fuel. DONT let the fuel run empty also might want to try FUEL injector cleaner i seemed to get an extra 20k's after using that but its hard to decide depends on how often your letting your VTEC kick in :P mine is almost every gear and i still get atleast 450.

You shoudln't be using RON91...if you look at the fuel cap it says MIN RON95 for a reason. That could be your main reason. But it sounds strange I've got an auto euro and getting 550+km out of a tank even under hard driving.

Hmmm i havent heard about 91 opposed to 95 impairing fuel efficency by that much tho... i know i should be using 95 but scince i didnt find a great difference in performance and the slightest difference in km/10L i figured id stick with 91.
Oh and that was actualy 98 v-power not 95

it really comes down to the servo you use aswell.. try alternating between good servos. my mate owned a servo with no ethanol rating in there fuel. gets you thats extra kick you need. once again just try 98 put some fuel injector cleaner and try your luck, if not try the 02 sensors or your fuel filter.
    good luck keep us updated.

HAHAHA good to know im not alone champ but feel sorry for ya at the same time....

to keep you giuys updated im gona fill up with v-power (98) and use a full bottle of injector cleaner i picked up form supercheap auto. fingers crossed it does something haha, but i may have to run 98 for a couple of weeks to see a improvement....

hey let us know how the injector cleaner goes. i havent tried it before and am considering.

ive just changed from v-power to BP ultimate so ill observe if changing fuels actually does anything substantial for economy
