Engine ticking & ebay engine mounts

Your motor should make a 'vroom vroom' sound.

Seriously, you should check/adjust the valves every 10K but very few do. If it making some noise, check 'em. If it's not making any unusual noise and you have a spare couple of hours and feel like getting greasy it can't hurt.

I've still got this noise - but not as bad as what it was before I did the valve adj. I most likely think it is the TCT, which is the next thing on my list so I'll let u kno once its done

same problem. rattles loud when coming to a stop and goes away when take off. its prob your engine mount. im gonna b replacing mine tomrrow

it was the driver side mount and i picked it up for 300 at peter warren. and the rides all smooth now

man.. i got a ticking problem too. when its on idile, u hear it under the car =s dont know what but. any helps>?

They would certainly do it and if it's the TCT, change that too.

Oh, and StevHarr had a ticking from the lower engine too. Turned out the be a dud bearing in the A/C compressor.

You can eliminate that by running the engine for a few seconds without the accessories belt.

Yeah I eliminated that just as u described Aus. I hope its the TCT. I just ordered one from CFL.
