But looked at my car and had a sudden obsession to want to paint my brake calipers a Spoon blue colour

"An aggressive looking smoked chrome or black chrome inner housing distinguishes the Civic Type-R over the standard Civics' chrome units. The orange, light refractor strip is also a thing of the past for a hassle free 'clear corner' ! Also added on these Japanese headlights, are a provision for a city light bulb for headlight illumination without having the actual headlights on."

pffft why would anyone pay 500 for head lights when the stock ones do just fine.... unless they actually have a better beam pattern or as such, waste of money that could go to better use imho

isnt it around 900 from JDM yard? yeah i guess it is a waste of money i mean i wouldnt pay 900 for a set of headlights just because they have a little black/chrome in them.
But its just like changing wheels, stock wheels are fine but people still change it if you get what im saying? I guess anything is a waste of money if your using your car for daily use

true that, i guess u just gotta weigh up whats more important, giving the amount of cash u got to play around with, but 900!!!! Fuk that LOL, as if anyone would pay that much for some head lights! With that, id just blow it on some coilovers or so... DIY Ek9 head lights FTW

EK9 headlights look 900 times better than OEM chrome headlights imho. But yeah, $900 is def a bit steep. DIY black housing headlights can look good if done right but will never look the same as the real deal.
