    Oil Dipstick coming loose

    Noob Question..

I was checking the oil pull the dipstick out and the actual metal thing that houses the dipstick came with it. (as in off the engine block)

I simply pushed it back in but it is loose as, I can move it from side to side.

Now is this bad? ie lower oil pressure?
    how can i fix it?

I still have the orinal headers and the headers heat shield in the car (DC2R).

    Cheers..

I'm not a mechanic but I'm pretty sure there is a bolt that should be holding it in place.

Sounds like yours has come loose / fallen off. You will need to get underneath and find where it is joining up to the block. See if you can see where it should be bolted on and if the bolt is missing.

Get a replacement bolt from the wreckers and screw it back in.

Sounds good to me. Or probably wouldn't cost much at all for a mechanic to fix it for you.
