do you get 500 from all 65 litters or from abouyt 50 - 55?
and you car is a fair bit older, im assuming this, but i do believe the accord euro is a more fuel efficeient car?
And my mate has the hatch version of that car im prety sure... he gets 600km from about 55L i think....

Update on injector cleaner. Im running 55 litters of 98 and about 10litters of 91 that was in the tank already and a full bottle of injector cleaner, i must say im dissapointed with its performance. Car feels more sluggish than before

My mechanic said he'll chuck in injector cleaner when he does my next service so i dont need to. Shouldn't use it too often or something

If you keep using 95-98RON like you are supposed to you will notice fuel consumption start getting better. In my euro I only ever went to the one servo and only ever used v-power. I'm pretty sure you can damage things if you use 91RON that's what I have heard anyway

mugen_euro, whens your next service? get all your shit checked up/replaced. you should get the best fuel economy straight after so on your first tank after go for 98RON and granny it?

You have to let your car get used to the petrol

Yer i was thinking it might take a couple more weeks till i see some real results. As for my service, i had a minor one oil change + filter and air filter trany fluid etc...and i recently replaced my air filter, oil filter and oil when melbourne had the floods. Im thinking ill probably do a major service sometime soon because this fuel economy is killin me

Change your fuel filter. Seriously, it's a very basic DIY, why pay someone to do it? Even if it doesn't fix the problem, it'll narrow the problem down.

There are many things that can kill economy. Cactused thermostat, fouled injectors, fouled PCV can also contribute. Fuel filter would be my first port of call.

And stick to 98 octane fuel. I recommend BP or Mobil, I'm not a fan of Shell. BP Ultimate is best IMO.

Get a major service from honda, done? but definitely anything above 10lt/100km on an accord euro sounds wrong unless your red-lining...

I have a feeling it might be the thermostat... but ill look into the fuel filter.

Update, im still on my first tank of 98 and ive run about 170km and its sitting at just under 3/4 tank atm. Ive redlined it only once this whole week adn that was only in first gear to 70. other than that ive been keeping my shifts to at or below 3k revs.

what the fakk... I GOTTA TRY THIS. do you just plant your foot all the way down from a stop start til it cuts out? mine always shifts at like 20km/h lol
