Sydney EP3 thread

Hi Guys,

Im looking to buy an EP3 soon, just wondering is there is a thread on things to watch out for with this model. This will be my 5th Honda and aside from general wear and tear issues they have all been pretty good except for an EF Civic SI that got smokey at low kms

pretty standard stuff watch out for noise in the steering, engine mounts etc.

It might be easier if you take one of us there to help you check out the car lol. Theres also other stuff like window seals and central locking to look for.

Ive been swinging sapnners for 20 years on weekends and am in the middle of a ground up rebuild/resto of my RX3. If you can handle being around a girl who knows more about cars than most guys feel free to tag along.

window seals or windscreen seals?
re: central locking - are you talking about problems with the master switch?
any issues with electric windows or just central locking?

hey all, got some bad news, as of midnight last night i no longer own a EP3, it was written off due to a fire that started while i was driving.

I will keep you posted as I will def be looking at purchasing another within the next few mnths (perhaps a FL direct from Japan), and hopefully have it up and ready for WTAC this year, as that was the plan for the original..

I mean window seals, a couple of us has got it replaced and a few still needs to. And for the central locking the motor in my left door had to replaced as soon as i got the car home for the first time. The right door's motor is starting to play up now too. The electric windows seems fine to me, ive had no problems with it, it was just the seals that stuff it up a little.

Well, here it is! Dude says to my mate, Steeb what were you doing? Steeb says me or the car? Dude says, don't be a smartarse! Steeb says, well I was doing this double whopper as I was going down this hill and the car was doing 140......cha ching!!! True story bro!!!

When I say down the hill, I mean fully Tokyo Drift with on leg outta the window!

man thats ****ed up. at least ur ok. would feel like losing a family member
