In the market looking for some new rubber for wheel 225 40 r w 18.. went to bob jane in vic and was recommended 4 tires.. bridgestone re001 addrenline $390 / yokohama v103 $390 / yokohama c drive $369 and faulken ze912 $240.... the guy told me that the faulken is a good tire and they put them in all taxis so i can assume they have a good wear rate..anyone drove on them before? heard allot of good things about the yokohama.. but at $1500 its a bit steep.. but i will consider if it is worth it. what you reckon?
Ive had Faulken's..did not enjoy them, for me, too much road noise , but i do drive on some pretty rough road.. the maxxis range and yokohama range (200-250 mark) have been the best for me (driving on ice as well as wet roads). Have definitely kept me safe. HTH
also, 215/45R17 may not be at least 91W load rating. remember, if your tyre load rating is less than the minimum requirement, insurance companies will deny your claim if anything happens and they could find any evidence pointing to the illegal tyres.
I have them.Been on my car for approx.2yrs.Excellent tyre, nice and grippy in wet and dry,not harsh riding, wear rate is reasonable.Only negative bit pricey.
