I took the car to a mechanic and he said the gas line is leaking underneath and there's major sub frame damage. FML!
Estimated repairs was $4,000 USD but insurance decided to total it.
I'm so lucky my son wasn't in the car because it could've caught on fire or probably exploded.
imagine running over a rock/boulder that's the size of a soccer ball @ 40mph while being lowered
Man what a shame!! All that hard work (

Looking forward to see those mods!!
On a side note...aside from the Modulo Rear Bumper I was going to get, I'm looking at getting ROTA Grids:

What do you guys think? They're pretty much "Volks TE37" replicas...my pockets aren't deep enough for the TE37s haha

The largest the rims come in is 18"...which is probably still a good size, don't know why they look so small in the image =S...
I do like the Mugen Bumper, but I figured...I got quoted $390 for a respray on my damaged bumper plus about $250 for the replica lip + spraying ($150-200 I'm guessing)...That's about $800 already...whereas the Genuine Modulo Bumper is only $660 painted!...Can't really go wrong with Genuine Honda Paint Matching either :P. And there's not many Modulo kitted Euros in Brisbane that I've seen, maybe only 1 or 2! So it's still sorta uncommon . Hope that justifies my decision!
Grill mod ayyy...Like Andrew's (nesterjester)? I'm pretty sure he had a thread on how he did his a while back. I could be wrong :S

It kind of sounds like a WRX in my opinion, orgasm to ears! Surprising that just a simple removal of the resonator does so much difference in the sound.

if u get the bumper painted together with ur front repair stuff. u save on labour and paint. as opposed to doing it over 2 different sessions. save on fixed costs. but yeh, the difference will only be like $100ish so a genuine modulo wud be worth it for that premium
and yeh, nesterjester's grill is waht i want. gotta find that thread!

hey fury, I found Nester's thread for you.
http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...Grill-Overhaul
the only difference with my own DIY is that I have kept the Honda badge on. That mainly requires some putty work and sanding to fill in the side hole where the middle grills go.
I also actually bought a whole new grill for the project, so I still have the OEM grill that can re-use in the future.
Have a good look around with different dealers. I managed to get a while new grill - chrome, badge, rubber etc for just $100. It was probably taken out from a car that was sold with the Modullo grill. Otherwise a brand new set of grill will set you back ~$450..

oh awesome
im more interested in ur grille i think. i was liking the no badge then slap on mugen. but after seeing nester complain about there being a gap after u remove the badge...me thinks its less hassle to just leave it on?
do u have pics/tutorial of how u did it? or just more pics
also, how do u actually remove the grill? i think i want to carbon vynl wrap the chrome pieces isntead of spray
and theres no mention of what mesh you guys used

Haha nah, he quoted me 1k for both the door + rear bumper...door + quarter panel respray would've cost about 600+...not worth it lol coz its literally just a tiny chip =S
