Great idea but
Sorry to say that it will eventually crack and fall out.Probably sooner than later.
The trick is to use panel glue and glue pieces of cut out sheet metal on the inside of the hole.
The metal on both the cars panel and the patch must be free of paint etc and roughened up.
Most car manufacturers bond panels on these days even your Aussie built Commodores have things like their roof skin glued on.
Done properly it will NEVER come apart,Already done my vti r Integra side moulding delete.
Its also the new age rust repair with out welding.
Oh and the panel glue I use is branded "Lord Fusor "available at Automotive paint shops.

hey intresting you say that but no the fiberglass wont just fall out and it cant crack sinve it is fiberglassed on the inside of the car and cant be hit.
