    questions: first car

    Hey guys,

I'm looking for my first car, so I was on carsales the other day, and I found a 1991 Honda civic GL, white, has sunroof, and condition looks pretty good from the photos.
BUT! It has done 220,000kms, and the price he's asking for is $3500 (it's a bit over priced imo). So I need some opinions on this.

Would 220,000 kms be too high? would you recommend me getting it? People have been telling me that Hondas are really reliable, but it's 20 years old and has already done 220,000kms, That's why I'm still thinking about it.

So guys, provide your opinions please

I am not too sure about it at the moment, I'm still waiting for his reply.
But here is the link of the car.

Photos are almost always misleading, insist on log books but some dodgy people forge stuff. Try to get receipts if you can. Why not an EG or EK?

I wouldn't touch it, there's heaps of other EG's or EK's out there that are decent...

Yeah, I know, but I'll go and see the car in person. I'll try to get some proofs.
I don't know man, I'm just not a fan of the EK.
Is it a bad idea to get an old car like that?

Yea its getting old dude. The only efficient and reliable ED's I see are restored track/project cars. I wouldnt recommend it as a daily, probably stuff up on you cause I know you'll thrash it here and there. and 3.5K is alot of money, invest in something more recent.

Age is a factor, you could always try and find an EG with around 150k...

    I was lucky to get my EK1 with 140k and it's a one owner for 4k :P
