    cf bonnet help

hey guys i finally did my jdm front and i have 1 problem. it's my bonnet i got a cf bonnet and it's being a dick and not lining up properly, i've asked my friend who's a panel beater what to do and he said to put hot water on it and hold it down into place then pour cold water. i did this hot water thingo 5 times and it's not lining up i used weights to hold it down as well and poured constant hot water on it and it still pops out, did anyone else have this problem? here's some photos to show you guys what i mean

    PLEASE HELP!

hay mate, stupid question but did you adjust the 2 little rubber things that you can use to adjust the height of the bonnet? If you pop the hood there is one in the left and one on the right, they should be in line to the centre of the head light from memory.

Looks like the bonnet sits higher than the guard all the way? Remove the rubbers and maybe try checking to make sure the motor isn't touching the bonnet? Does stock bonnet sit flush?

the bonnet starts to pop out about half way the guard, and i've tried taking of all the rubber gromits off the radiator support and bonnet but it's still sticking up, it's not hitting anything either =( and i dont have an oem bumper i bought it with a cf bonnet

if the new bonnet dosent line up correctly your raditor support might not be welded on perfectly stright...

    Correct

If he uses bonnet pins to hold it down and gives it a hard gear change you can almost say goodbye to CF bonnet.

Your panel beater probably didn't line it up with the bonnet and thus welded it too low.
