Thread: HID and the LAW

  1. #13
JDM front lights are way too expensive. I can't justify spending that much to fit in HID
Why didn't they just design the car with projectors in the first place.... like the C-RV o euro...
Anyone bought those projector lights on ebay? Hows the build quality of those. I'm scare they would be cheaply made and not water tight.

anyway...how do you suggest to modify the reflectors ...

Aim them down. Nothing you can do about it.

JDM headlights are the same as ours... projectors were in the design specifications for cost savings.

It looks good. Install one 8k for a FD1 last week. Not too bad at night but make sure you adjust to make the light point to the ground more.

Or you can buy a set of aftermarket projector headlight with projector however it will need bodykit and wheel to make the look

Sorry to the dk head who owns the black FD that drives around Cabra/Canley, but your car is fkn blinding. Do you really need to see the top of trees? It's always silly *people putting HID's in their EKs, FDs, etc. with their reflector head lights... Not aiming them and sht...

Sorry for the rant and all the people I offended, but seriously, AIM THE DAMN THINGS DOWN OR DON'T DO IT....... You look like an idiot and you piss people off... And don't compare it to how blinding stock Euros and BMWs because its just not the same...

    Regards,

pretty sure JDM lights got different reflectors?! anyone confirm? The HID standard lights got special reflectors to account for the glare.

simple fact. don't put HIDs in reflectors. It's rice and that's not nice.

yellow-er lights are the new thang

I have HIDs on my FD and I'm pretty sure they're just normal reflectors. They are aimed to the correct level and have never had a car high-beam me or any trouble with the police. I have 8000k low beam and 6000k fog lights that I have on together all the time.

As long as you have them aimed correctly it's all good.

Here's some low quality pics that I took back then:

They might look blinding in the pics but it's far from true.
