    yeh i was looking into them but the box in the middle seemed like a big catchment for the air, more edges for it to hit screws up the flow...
    thats why u never buy those flexi-expandable hose things for your intake just makes it worse.

    i ended up buying the APEXi one because it seems to be the least restrictive (shortest pipe), even tho the air wont be cooler. atleast it doesnt have to suck harder, which is a problem with CAI's

    With a Mugen axle back the intake sounds pretty good, nothing compared to a b series with intake but still sounds pretty good..

    The box in the middle is kinda similar concept to the whale penis intake...

    Yeah all Simota filters are washable paid about $150

    I also use the Simota filter which give you pretty nice sound + better performance on high rev........you can get it from eBay, I got mine one from eBay as well !!!

    Once you install the intake, make sure you reset the ecu (disconnect the negative terminal from the battery for at least 10-15mins) how you will know it's been done successfully is if your clock has been reset... Start the car and idle for 10 mins and then away you go.

    This allows the ECU to re-learn the benefits of your new intake and adjust it's parameters, did that today and the car is a lil more responsive.
