    Ducktail Spoiler

    Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting a Ducktail Spoiler for my CU2. I found this on eBay:

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Honda-Accord-...item1e5e447de7

It's only $80 vs the Genuine $500. It's similar version (copy) compared to the genuine ducktail

I'm new to cars and am not sure about the quality of a third party part vs. an original Honda part, the seller assured me it's a perfect fit though.

What would you guys chose, a copy or save up for the genuine?

What do you guys think look better: the Rear Wing Spoiler or the Ducktail (Previous searches suggest ducktail)?

Does anyone here have a Ducktail with pictures? I did a search and only found 2 or 3 :l.

    Thank for your help guys.

Looks are subjective, so what one person thinks looks good is not neccesarily the case with the next person. What do YOU like better between the wing or ducktail spoiler?

IMO the wing is getting ricy. If you want to go super ricy get a Mugen wing.

In regards to price, some fake stuff is ok quality. If you can afford the real thing get it. Otherwise just suit your budget.

I like them both! I originally wanted the wing, but the lip spoiler looks good too and I'm leaning towards that at the moment. The Mugen wing...yah...no.

I'd prefer ducktail, looks more subtle. And the wing impacts rear view.

I have the complete Modulo kit except with a ducktail rather than a wing spoiler (I bought 2nd hand and the previous owner had put these on). You might want to check whether the genuine spoiler price includes heavier duty boot-lift struts. This was certainly the case with a Commodore I used to own - it didn't have the replacement struts on it when I took delivery and the boot would pop open to half way and then drop shut! Once they replaced the struts as they should have before I got it, all was fine.

I find the ducktail just a tiny bit too demure, but I hate most wing spoilers as they seriously block rear view. The ducktail on my CU2 is perfectly positioned for optimum rear view.

    Regards

    Warren.
