Just were the only insurer to offer a decent price for my now 20 year old daughter to drive a Peugeot 306 convertible.

I don't know if they think that's a dangerous "sports" car or something, but some of them wouldn't even quote, & she had almost 3 years no claim history.
That was after I had transferred the car rego to her.

I don't think it's a good idea to insure a car in the wrong owners name. I've heard of a couple of refused claims, when the insurer said the car was the young drivers car, not the parents car as insured.
This is definitely the case when it is usually parked at a different address than that on the policy.

I've never made a claim in my life, spent thousands on my car, and still get raped.

Its indifferent. Just too many hectiks crashing / stealing S2K's causing premium rises.

Back when I was 18 I was charged for drunk driving. Im now 26. All these are with Just Cars.

    Premium:
    99 Prelude - 18: $2200 - 19: $1800 - 20: $ 1200 - 21: $1050
    00 S2K - 21: $1200 - 22: $1100 - 23: $1200 - 24: $1400 - 25: $1600
    Or there abouts.

When aged 21, I lost my license for speeding after breaking up with my g/f.
All mods have always been declared, and only the ECU caused a $9 premium rise.
Lost my license again last year at age 25, again broke up with my g/f.
My insurance bill is due in the mail any day now.
Agreed value is something like $16K. Just ****ing ridiculous.

Should dig up my insurance policy and give NRMA a call...

Could a DC5R be that much more to insure compared to a S2K?

Base excess is 800 and age excess is 1600. Insured for $22000. Premium = $1450.
