Koni's are great. I've got koni coilovers, and on the softest setting, it's feels as confortable as stock. And at the other extreme on the hardest setting, you can really feel the difference, it's way too much for everyday driving espcially on the highway, you feel everything. Never got a chance to track my car, but i'm sure i would have held up fine.

i have koni yellows , and AFAIK , they are only rebound damper adjustable.
Well , to be honest the actual spring controls the initial "bound" more than anything so I think koni's with properly mated sprigns are fine for daily drivign and abit of track / thrashing around

i agree with ben on this one.
reallye depends how hard core/ serious you are and how you use your car... and how long you plan to keep your car .. future mods etc.
coilovers compared to shocks+ springs to me are a different game all together ... even within coilovers brands and good there are so many options and things to consider.. rebuild, springs rates, adjust mods, ways of adjustment and if they effect spring rates, sleeves, camber? the list goes on...
do some research on other sites.. alot of usa sites i have found helpful cuz they have a great range of things.. im still figuring out wat i want to get also.
but if your a mainly street and rare tracker (1-2-3times a year) and your on a budget say about $1k. get some shocks and springs. ... maybe source things 2nd hand.. eg. springs, shocks i would buy new if you dont know about them. but if money is no object and your not in a rush.. some popular coilovers are,.. tein, cusco, bilstein, toda, apexi, omni, kyb, koni, whiteline (they use koni shocks), hks, ohlins... hahaha yeh so hope that helps
also if you got friend that have the gear on similar cars.. jump in and test it on different settings, all in prefered... something soft to you might be back breaking for me. vise versa

brand new Tein Super Street coilover ( adj height and damper ) $1450 without pillow ball mounts and $1750 with pillow ball mounts.
I learnt my lesson , never ever buy a used coilover.

IMO , yes.
I have koni yellows with eibach sportlines - which are apparently ABOUT 6k front and 4k rear. I think this is abit stiff for the street lol , even in my stock plush seat plus fat bum .

Depending on which type you use your goin to get more quality of the higher priced one..if u want to know more ring bilstein up..they will be able to tell uexactly what u need for where & when u want to use it..highly recomended!!!!!!!

BILSTEIN & H&R springs are the ultimate combinationfor agreat ride..they both interact well with each other & are all available here in sydney..for a good ride u need to know exactly what u want to use the car for..if u goin to use it for both road & track use a coilover kit which is a bit for expensive..but the australian made companied tend to sagg alot...if u chose a german made company u will not find quality like that anywhere else..the german tune up all the touring cars & used on nearly every racing team cause they are just so happy with the results..think bout it

I'll agree with the popular consensus in this thread.
Go the Yellows matched with quality rated springs and you'll love it. I've had Konis and the damper adjustability is fantastic - but only if you have the right springs.
Like Yonas said, 2nd hand coilover = ergh
Omni is supposedly of a "lesser" build quality. Why bother? Just get Yellows.
