thats true, but some of the ones u buy just laying around will need to be attached properly so professional exhaust shop might be required and they can charge u alot
i went to one here in perth, he wanted to charge my $500 to attach an xforce muffler seemed kinda preposterous so i managed to find an axle back.

and theres some cool axle backs by megan racing on ebay too, but the are abt 400+ due to shipping form the US

sdx91! zomgwtftomatosauce. it is an absolute beauty; almost sounds turbo if you ask me. take 10 minutes of your time. get a 13mm socket wrench(if i remember correctly) and undo the two bolts. take it around the block. i can assure you, you will be amazed at the difference. its a pretty LOL mod, and you will get some 'WTFTHATSAJAZZBRO' looks going down burwood road/ george street but even if you dont like it, its not that hard to get off and on. do it for me!

plus its just dead weight. you dont need the back seats or passenger side seat either... and the trimmings and linings. centre console and the spare tyre for that matter. but broo, strip the carpet and take off sound deadening (i reckon 70kg, mind you) and well, you need the dash to attract the girls, but im sure they would like the new mattress and roll cage you got installed instead. plus with all this dead weight gone, you can chuck in some subs to blow her clothes off. you seen italian job? DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF DOOOOOOOOOOOOF.

but yeah you know, just my 2 cents

YO sdx91! there doesnt seem like any metal is burning. i have it off all the time now, just makes the jazz that much more fun. but im planning to get a straight pipe all the way through just so the exhaust is following through.

theres heatshield there, depends i just changed my muffler to a very modest rumbling muffler but i forgot the dynamics of the under car. I think the b pipe ends just before the heatshield so some wil be protected but if anything it might melt some plastic under the car. just dont leave it in one spot running for long. ahaha.

yeh its an xforce axle back. the pipe is extra thick going into the muffler but it still fits a stock flange and bpipe, all of the xforce stuff is designed to fit the stock flange and be inter-changable. i bought it off fillit, i dunno if they still make them, i doubt it. but essentially its just a smaller muffler: half the width and two thirds the length. ill make a recording soon.
