Thanks for all the input guys! Its gonna help, so at the moment this is what I have in mind of doing:

    - Foggies
    - Mugen Lip Kit

I have the modulo spoiler on atm but d'you guys reckon that I should keep it or go with the Mugen wing to get the "full" effect, I might just order the lip kit without the wing and then see how it looks from there. Will definately consider coilovers but only after the lip kit etc, I don't wanna be running too low, speed bumps inside the uni and around my house are ridiculous :/

Also if anyone here is from Perth, whats a decent panel beater for lip kit installation OR have you guys all gone DIY Installing foggies and a lip kit shouldn't be THAT hard right?

    hey guys,

just wondering how many of you have DVD players in your car?
i just got pulled over bout 2 hours ago for having a dvd player with a music video playing in my car... $100 and 3 demerit points!!! WTF 3 points?!?!?
apparently it is the same as driving talking on a mobile phone? and also he said eating an apple while driving is the same as talking on the mobile... i don't see how that is and I didn't even know there was a law on not having a motion picture in play while driving a vehicle. what is the point in having a dvd player in the car?
    isn't a GPS a distraction as well?

officer is right. You cannot have a DVD playing whilst driving. They are ok to watch when the car is parked though. But that can be drain on the battery.
A few newer players won't actually play dvd's whilst the car is being driven for those legal reasons.. However there are some brands now that offer in-car DVD players that work when the vehicle is in motion but only at the angle that the passenger can see the screen.. So the passenger can watch a movie from their side of the car, but the driver can only see the satnav.. Or nothing at all on their side

Yeah some dvd players in new cars give different views I saw that on fifth gear, but still 3 demerits is a bit much. I would pay the $100 just not 3 demerits for something not many people know about. It would be good if they people selling these tell you your not allowed to put any motion picture on whist driving.
I would say a GPS is similar, even though the electronic voice tells you when to turn you still need to look at it because the timing on those telling you when to turn, you need to be traveling 20kms or something.
The thing is that I've been through RBTs and pulled over for speeding, none of the cops tell me or warn me on my dvd player, I've had it for 3 years

*BTW the officer warned me that I'm not allowed to have a fog light at the rear of my car... I have the RR kit as you guys know and apparently the small square red light in the bottom in the middle of the car is a "fog light"... I don't even know you can have rear fog lights or why any car would put a rear fog light.

lolwut? isnt it just a rear brake light? in any case, my friend's 06 impreza has a 'rear foglight' (according to the manual), and they come out from factory like that. i have no idea what that officer would have been talking about. perhaps that law is just for WA? lol...
