1996 EJ8 Civic Left Headlight WONT WORK but High Beam Does

hi guys. on the weekend my left head light stopped working. thought it was no big drama, thinking globe was blown and it needed to be replaced.
today after work i replaced it with a new globe, but for reason it still wont work. was swapping globes, testing everything but no luck. then i noticed the HIGH BEAM works and not the headlights.

What is the problem, has this happened to anyone. How do i fix it.
    any info much appreciated.
    cheers

Try replacing the plug/connector that plugs to the headlight '$5 from autobarn'
Solder it on an it shall work, I had the same problem.

Is it even the right globe? EK/EJ use H4 bulb, which are bi-head lamp bulbs

is it just the 30A fuse under the bonnet. have also replaced that. headlight on low beam still wont work. High beam does.
